Mingary Castle is the most intact 13th century in Scotland.  We were commissioned, prior to a major renovation, to produce a metric survey of the castle comprising orthophoto and stone by stone drawings of all the internal and external elevations.

The castle was laser scanned. Photography was taken using a calibrated, medium format camera and from a calibrated camera mounted on a sUAS.  Terrestrial  stereo photogrammetric  and structure from motion techniques were used to supplement the laser scan data.  The final point cloud was used to generate the ortho-rectified elevations.
